The Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM constructed the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, which is now being operated in Tamil Nadu by The Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL).
General Contractor (for detailed design, equipment supply and technical assistance) of Kudankulam NPP is ASE Group of Companies, an engineering division of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation of Russia.
India will have 12 more nuclear power stations shortly to improve the power situation and also ensure there is free flow of uninterrupted power supply for both Industries and residential usage.
