Amazon.in announces pre-orders of “The Dramatic Decade: The Indira Gandhi Years”, authored by Shri. Pranab Mukherjee, from today exclusively on its India marketplace www.amazon.in. The book chronicles the history of India from the perspective of a parliamentarian and statesman who has been in the thick of things in the political arena of that decade. This is the first volume of a three part series. Priced at Rs. 575, Amazon.in is making the book available for customers at a launch discount of 25%.

The book, published by Rupa Publications, speaks of the era when India was growing up to the actual meaning of democracy and the political scenario was very dynamic, with the freedom struggle of East Pakistan and the formation of Bangladesh, followed by the emergency years.
