This Navratri, get ready to step up and match the beats that reverberate in your heart to a cause! The sugary notes of Falguni Pathak, as she takes to the Borivali stage will be combined with a fund-raising exercise for the cancer patient’s fund. This was announced at the Bhoomi Pujan for Je&Vee Presents GM Navratri Utsav 2022 powered by Transcon on Wednesday morning, September 07.

Contribute to a worthy cause

Keeping in mind the tragedy of cancer patients, the organizers of the Je&Vee Infrastructure Presents GM Navratri Utsav 2022 powered by Transcon have decided to donate the proceeds received from the Navratri collections from the mega event to the charity. This announcement came through at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the mega festivities on Wednesday.

“We are thankful for the guidance of Shri Gopal Shetty in making this year’s festivities at Borivali a reality. We hope that our contribution brings succour and the Goddess’ blessings to all those people who are suffering from cancer,” said Santosh Singh and Shiva Shetty, Organisers, Showglitz Events and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

On this occasion, Shri Gopal Shetty once again appealed to the government to allow 4 days for the Navratri festival in the current year till midnight. Going forward, he appealed to the State government that the cases against Navratri organizers should be withdrawn just as they were withdrawn against Govinda and Ganesha organizers.

The ‘Biggest’ Navratri of Mumbai

The GM Navratri Utsav is a mega event of massive proportions at the Pramod Mahajan Sports Complex Spread across 13 acres of ground area, it would see approx. 30,000 to 35,000 Garba enthusiasts descend into a vigour-filled dance frenzy every day on a 2,00,000 Sq. ft. wooden dance floor. In order to ensure that it is a smooth operation, the organizers have roped in around 200 bouncers (men and women) of Mumbai’s best security company as well as over 100 vigilant and trained volunteers.

They have also arranged for over 100 CCTV cameras, 20 high resolution PTZ cameras and a fire brigade truck, ambulances, and doctors at the event. For adequate parking, the venue can accommodate over 1000 cars.

A five-year tryst with Falguni

Falguni Pathak is the most sought-after performer during Navratri and this year too she will enthral the crowd with folk songs and Bollywood numbers in her velvety voice. For 4 years in a row since 2016, she has enthralled music buffs with her velvety voice of folk songs and Bollywood melodies during Navratri celebrations in Borivali. The singer has become synonymous with the mad energy and vigour of the Navratri festivities, especially in Mumbai. In fact, we can barely imagine a Garba Night without one of her peppy numbers - from the foot-tapping Jhanjhariya to the timeless Indhina Vinwa. Her music is characterized by strong influences from traditional music forms for Gujarat, making it the perfect set of sound bites for a Garba night or Dandiya festivities.

Apart from the performance by the Garba Queen, the organizer will also hold competitions for the best couple, the best dancer, the best costumes, etc. with grand prizes like Dubai Tour for Best Couple, Car, Bike/Electric Bike, Cosmetic Hampers, Headphones & Accessories, Grooming Hamper, Dieting Hampers etc.
