Adarsh Charitable Foundation Inaugurates Bal Mitra Kendra in Chhattisgarh

Adarsh Charitable Foundation (ACF) inaugurated Bal Mitra Kendra in Chuhinala, Chhattisgarh, with support from Samerth Charitable Trust, Ahmedabad to further its efforts in improving early childhood education in the country. Adarsh Charitable Foundation is already working in Rajasthan and has adopted 12 anganwadis in Sirohi and has improved the infrastructure, nutrition and quality of education in the region. The event was held on September 27, in the presence of Mr. Rahul Modi, MD, Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. and Managing Trustee, Adarsh Charitable Foundation and Mr. Biju Mathew, VP & CSR Head, Adarsh Charitable Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rahul Modi, MD, Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. and Managing Trustee, Adarsh Charitable Foundation said, "Adarsh credit and Adarsh Charitable Foundation are committed to the development of the society and we have a special focus on education of the children. This is our first project in the state of Chhattisgarh and I am very happy and proud that our work is reaching out to the remote tribal locations of Chhattisgarh state. Through our partner NGO, Samerth we are reaching to the unreached and making our contribution for the future of our children and the nation." 

 

Mr. Biju Mathew, VP & CSR Head, Adarsh Charitable Foundation said, "This project will give opportunity to more than 300 tribal children belonging to the Baiga tribe, to undergo early childhood education and thereby ensuring a better future for them. This village,Chhuhinala, is so remote that it does not have any government facilities like anganwadi or health centre, and Adarsh Charitable Foundation is proud to partner with Samerth Trust and set up Bal Mitra Kendra in 10 villages of Kawardha district."

 

Quality early education to children of Baiga tribe, with special focus on girl children and children with special needs residing in the Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh, is the goal for Adarsh Charitable Foundation’s collaboration with Samerth Charitable Trust. Adarsh Charitable Foundation is supporting the Samerth Bal Mitra Kendra which works towards providing education, nutrition, health care and creating an empowered group of mothers in 10 villages in Kabirdham. This empowered group of mother’s advocates and fights for better implementation of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) of the Government.
