Adarsh Charitable Foundation Organises Health Camp in Mahudi

Adarsh Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. organised a health camp in Mahudi village of Gandhinagar district in Gujarat. The soaring heat did not deter 450 villagers of Mahudi from attending the health camp organised by Adarsh Charitable Foundation (ACF).

With a vision to create a model village, Mahudi, known for the famous Ghantakarna Mahavir temple, Adarsh Charitable Foundation started with a free health and eye check-up camp held at Smt. S. S. Rathod School. This health camp was supported by the Blind People’s Association and Bareja Hospital, Ahmedabad.

 

The health camp included distribution of medicines and spectacles. The villagers who needed surgery for cataract were taken to Bareja Hospital in Ahmedabad for free cataract operation. A total of 56 people underwent cataract as well as other eye-related surgeries.

 

Shri Mukesh Modi, Founder and Mentor, Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd., Shri Rahul Modi, MD, Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd., Mr. Biju Mathew, VP & CSR Head, Adarsh Charitable Foundation and Ms. Nandini Rawal, Director, Blind People’s Association, Ahmedabad were present on this occasion.

 

Speaking on Adarsh Charitable Foundation initiatives, Mr. Rahul Modi, MD, Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. said, “Adarsh Charitable Foundation has adopted Mahudi village and we are working towards providing all necessary facilities in the Mahudi village for its overall development. Adarsh Charitable Foundation will soon open library in the school and will also provide internet connectivity in the village. Adarsh Charitable Foundation is working closely with the villagers of Mahudi and will put all the efforts to make Mahudi, a model village of Gujarat.”

 

Mr. Biju Mathew, VP & CSR Head, Adarsh Charitable Foundation said, “Adarsh Charitable Foundation is a young and professional organisation that aims to work with some of the most under-privileged and vulnerable communities across India. In the coming years, we will provide health, education and livelihood opportunities to the poor both through our direct interventions and by partnering other organisations.”

 

Adarsh Charitable Foundation started a new chapter in its journey, when it opened its office in Ahmedabad, which now serves as its head office. Having begun work since 2015, Adarsh Charitable Foundation has been giving back to the society through various blood donation camps, blanket distribution, rainwater harvesting and many such measures in Sirohi, Rajasthan, the birthplace of Adarsh Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. This year, with an aim to expand to rest of the country, Adarsh Charitable Foundation has set up its headquarters in Ahmedabad with focus on working on the provision of health, livelihood and education opportunities to the underprivileged in the country.
