Balamurugan Viswanathan Takes Over as Group COO of JLT

Balamurugan (Bala) Viswanathan has relocated to Jardine Lloyd Thompson’s (JLT) London based head office to become the Group’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), after [7] successful years as CEO of JLT’s Mumbai operation. JLT Group is one of world's leading providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services.

Bala, who was the very first employee at JLT India, led the India office from strength to strength growing JLT India as the group’s centre of excellence for operations and knowledge services. He was also the Global Director for the Group's Business Process Management team responsible for business architecture, operations strategy and continuous improvement across the Group. His leadership in developing a robust service and knowledge hub in the India and subsequently in Kula Lumpur and strategic business architecture across the global JLT offices has put Bala in a unique position to continue to drive the Group’s strategies on operational efficiency forward.

Bala has been succeeded by Puneet Satyawadi as the CEO for the India operation and the Global Director for the Group's Business Process Management Team. Another founding member of JLT India, Puneet has led multiple functions including Business Transformation, Risk and Operations at JLT India.
