Film Idol Aamir Khan Becomes Golf Foundation Brand Ambassador

Film star Aamir Khan became the Brand Ambassador for Golf Foundation on a day when the inaugural YES BANK Golf Foundation elicited excellent response from the golf community, which turned up in good numbers at both the tournament at the ITC Classic Golf Resort and in the evening at the Gala dinner at Le Meridien on Sunday.

Giving the Foundation a huge fillip was the presence of actor Aamir Khan, Chief Guest, who has been helping young and underprivileged golfers to realize their talent and attain new goals. Aamir Khan was the chief guests and also gracing the occasion was Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore

Aamir Khan was the Chief Guests at the YES BANK Golf Foundation Invitational Prize Distribution Ceremony at Le Meridien and soon after posing for a Group Photo with the young golfers, Khan said, “It is indeed heartening to see the work of the Foundation produce such excellent results.”

He then asked for a special picture with young age-group World Champion, Shubham Jaglan.

It was heart-warming to see the film star warmly greeting the young golfer motivating him to achieve further success in his great talent.

As many as 102 leading corporate golfers from Delhi, NCR and elsewhere in India turned up for the YES Bank Golf Foundation Golf Invitational presented by DLF and ILFS and organized by Digraj Inc.

The first-of-its-kind charity event played on an Individual Stableford format (players were scored on 2/3rd of their Original Handicaps) saw the likes of former Asian Games gold medallist Amit Luthra, one of the founders of the Golf Foundation, Charu Sharma, commentator and promoter of Pro Kabaddi League and young prodigy Shubham, who played one hole with each of the groups.

The Board Members of the Golf Foundation were thrilled at Aamir Khan joining hands with the Golf Foundation and motivating the aspiring golfers to become Brand Ambassadors. Amit Luthra, who was at the forefront of the event on behalf of the Foundation, said, “The coming on board of film idol Aamir Khan is indeed such a big boost for the Golf Foundation. We have already been supporting the likes of Ashok Kumar, Rashid Khan, S Chikkarangappa and Shubham and we hope to bring to the fore more such young talent.”
