ITDC Posts a Profit of 2.54Cr in Q3, 2015-16

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the public sector undertaking under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, posted a stable performance for third quarter of the current financial year 2015-16. The total turnover in quarter ending December 2015 stood at Rs.123.85 cr. The company registered operating profit at Rs.17.26 cr and Net Profit Before Tax (PBT) at Rs.2.54 cr in last quarter Oct-Dec, FY 2015-16.

The momentum generated in the last two quarters has continued posting profit in the third quarter as well. In first three quarters of FY 2015-16, the company has registered a turnover of Rs. 329.72 cr, while the operating profit was registered at Rs 25.76 cr and net profit at Rs.6.83 cr.

 These details were announced in the Board of Directors’ meeting of the company today on 12^th February, 2016 at the Group’s flagship hotel, The Ashok, New Delhi.

Awards and Accolades: 

• The Ashok, a flagship hotel of ITDC, hosted the awardees of 2015 Arjuna awards, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.

• ITDC felicitated 25 National Bravery Award winners and hosted them to a mesmerizing Sound and Light show at Purana Quila, showcasing a 1000 years old history of Delhi.

• ITDC participated at Travel India conference 2016, emphasising on the need to meet the demand of skilled and trained manpower and to bridge the current skill gap in the hospitality sector.

• ​The Ashok Events, an event management and creative division of ITDC was the designated executive agency by MOT to manage Bharat Parv, 2016 at Red Fort.

• ​In support of the Clean India Initiative, Ashok Institute of Hospitality & Tourism Management, a premier hospitality training institute run under the HRD division of ITDC organized a cleanliness awareness campaign at Qutab Minar.

• Three renowned chefs from The Ashok hotel- Gaurav Malhotra, Executive Chef, Rohtas Raj, Dem Chef de Partie, and A.P. Girish Kumar, Dem Chef de Partie, participated at the Elaf Indian Food festival, Jeddah showcasing varieties of North Indian, South Indian and Hyderabadi dishes at the festival
