L&T Mutual Fund, in Association with The Learning Curve Academy, Launches ‘Finance GYM’

L&T Mutual Fund has sponsored a unique Investor Education Initiative called - Finance GYM, started by the ‘The Learning Curve Academy’ to inculcate financial planning in the youth.

An Investor Education Initiative, ‘Finance GYM’ stands out due to its true blue educative nature. L&T Mutual Fund, in association with The Learning Curve Academy, through ‘Finance GYM’ aims to reach out to around 1500 students across some of the top colleges in Mumbai.

Finance GYM connects with students through various mediums such as an online simulation game, interactive in-classroom activities and physical collaterals for reference. The simulation game is designed to give students a real life experience of investing in various options like savings account, fixed deposit, stocks, mutual fund, etc; monitor and reassess their portfolio real time.

The objective of Finance GYM is to ensure that it reaches its due result of each student being able to draw their financial plans, at the end of 10 classroom hours. Apart from the designated schedule, students would also avail the opportunity to interact and converse with industry experts from L&T Mutual Fund and learn about the intricacies of the financial industry. Taking it forward, they could also get a chance to visit the investment desks, get Q&A sessions with Fund Managers and learn about the industry, in detail.

Sharing his views on the initiative, Mr. Kailash Kulkarni, CEO L&T Mutual Fund, said, “There is no doubt in the fact that the youth of the nation holds unmatched potential to carve a financially healthy future for themselves. In our effort to help them become financially fit, we are happy to have sponsored Finance GYM, an initiative by The Learning Curve Academy. Finance GYM, in my view takes our motive of Investor Education, a notch higher and through this initiative; we hope to leave the thought of ‘financial fitness’ in the mind of every student that we speak to.”
