Mahindra Powerol Wins Deming Prize for 2014

Mahindra Powerol, the Mahindra Group’s off grid power generation and energy solutions business, was awarded the prestigious Deming Prize at a glittering ceremony held in Tokyo. Mahindra Powerol was the only company from India to be awarded this global distinction this year.

The Deming Prize is a global quality award instituted by the Japanese Union for Scientists & Engineers (JUSE) that recognizes both individuals for their contributions to the field of Total Quality Management (TQM) and businesses that have successfully implemented TQM. It is the oldest and most widely recognized quality award in the world. Prior illustrious recipients include Toyota Motor company, Tata Steel, the Mahindra Tractor Division (2003), and the Mahindra Swaraj Division (2012).

Speaking on receiving the award, Ashok Sharma, Chief Executive, Agri & Allied Businesses said, “We are greatly honoured to have received this prestigious International award.
