Standard Chartered Rolls out ‘Touch ID’, a Fingerprint Verification System

Standard Chartered Bank today unveiled its ‘Touch ID’ innovation on its mobile banking platform, ‘SC Mobile’. This feature is designed to enhance the user experience of the Bank’s customers as they have the option of using Touch ID as a replacement for having to type out their username and password to log onto the SC Mobile banking platform.

 

With this launch, the mobile banking customers of Standard Chartered Bank will be offered the chance to log in to their mobile banking application with a fingerprint verification system. The launch of this innovation is in line with Standard Chartered’s commitment towards enhancing its digital banking application. This feature will ensure better security as well as a more convenient banking experience.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Shyamal Saxena, Head, Retail Banking, India at Standard Chartered Bank said, “In our endeavour to be the Digital Main Bank, we are constantly looking at avenues whereby we can strengthen and support our product and service offerings through digital innovations. We are confident that our customers will use this innovation and enjoy the convenience and enhanced user experience that it offers.”

 

This feature is currently available on all IOS Touch ID device as well as Android Touch ID Devices (Samsung only).
