British Airways announces double baggage allowance and partnership with exciting brands

British Airways has announced double baggage allowance for students travelling from India. Students can now take all of their cherished possessions as they travel to study in the UK, Europe, US or Canada. The offer allows an extra piece of luggage weighing up to 23kg, in addition to the current checked baggage allowance of one piece of luggage for the UK and Europe, or two pieces of luggage for destinations in the USA and Canada.

 

British Airways, has also partnered with popular brands to enable its student travellers to benefit during their travel experience. There are exciting retail offers from Jabong and Macy’s, free mobile talk time with Matrix, offers with HDFC Credila Student Loans and exclusive benefits on ICICI student travel cards.

 

The offer is valid for students from India travelling with British Airways between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

The British Airways student offer is tailor-made for students holding valid visas for the UK, Europe, USA and Canada. The outbound travel must be completed on or before March 31, 2016, originating in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad or Chennai.

 

The extra baggage is only valid one way, on the outbound half of the journey.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Valid for sale and outbound travel from 01 April 2015 and 31 March 2016 from India to UK, Europe, USA or Canada only

  • Passenger availing this offer should hold a valid student visa to any of the above-mentioned destinations, failing which; they would be required to pay excess baggage charges as applicable

  • Domestic Indian Carriers are not part of this offer

  • This offer can only be sold on a British Airways document and is valid on all British Airways fares, across all cabins

  • 1 additional piece of checked in bag of 23kgs will be permitted to all British Airways points and connecting to cities in USA (British Airways Offline - serviced by American Airlines) provided bags are through checked to the USA offline destinations

  • At the first port of entry in the USA, bags would need to be custom cleared and dropped back at the American Airlines bag drop

  • In case there is a stopover in the USA at the first port of entry, then excess baggage charge for the extra piece would apply

  • Domestic flights within USA and sectors between USA-Canada are permitted on American Airlines & AA Subsidiaries only

  • For British Airways to British Airways journeys the passenger will be eligible to avail excess baggage even if there is a transfer between Heathrow – Gatwick terminals or a stopover in London. In case of a return journey, the excess baggage is only valid on the outbound half of the journey
