Symphony Launches Four New Models for this Summer Season

World’s largest air cooler company, Symphony Ltd is geared up to sweep the organised air cooler market with introduction of four new air cooler models in the summer season of 2015. The company introduced Siesta 70 and Ice Cube XL and expanded its window cooler range by introducing Window 70 XL and Window 41 XL with specially designed powerful exhaust fan.

 

These new models come with advanced features like Dura Pump Technology, honeycomb cooling pad, dust filter and much more. These coolers are energy efficient with low power consumption and also work on inverter.

 

“India is a traditional air cooler market with a large unorganised segment and through launch of these new models, we expect to achieve significant growth in the near future. 80% of the air cooler industry is still with the unorganised segment and buyers are gradually shifting from the unorganised segment to branded products because of the product awareness, rising disposable income, look, features etc," said Mr. Achal Bakeri, Chairman and Managing Director, Symphony Ltd.

 

Siesta 70 is all new powerful desert cooler with specially designed front grill for maximum air delivery, unmatched aesthetics and large 70 litre tank capacity for long uninterrupted cooling. Ice Cube XL is having high efficiency honeycomb cooling pad on three sides. Apart from having this first in the personal cooling category, this air cooler functions with the lowest levels of noise.

 

Window 70XL is the first of its kind air cooler with a powerful exhaust fan, which gives it a much stronger air delivery than any existing cooler. This powerhouse of a cooler has a 70 litre tank teamed up with a cool auto water refill system that will leave you feeling fresh and chilly, all summer long. Window 41XL is an engineering marvel with a specially designed exhaust fan for a greater and fresher air throw. This, along with its cool features like auto refill and auto swing, is a combination sure to fulfil the cooling needs of consumers.

 

These new models will further strengthen Symphony’s product range in the residential air cooler market and build on its leadership position. Company has 23 models of air coolers including diet range, window coolers, desert coolers, personal coolers and room coolers to outfit the necessities of variety of customers in different regions of the nation.

 

Air cooler market in India is estimated to be around Rs. 3,000 crore and growing at 15-20 percent per annum. Symphony Ltd is largest player in the Indian air cooler industry with 50% market share among the organised players. For the last five years Symphony has been growing at an average 30% CAGR against the industry growth rate of 10-15%.

 

The domestic market for residential air-coolers, both organised and unorganised, is around 6.5 million units. Unorganised segment accounts for 80% of volume with 4.8 million units while organised air-cooler market is around 1.5 million units. There are 160 million plus households in India that have only fans and no other cooling devices.
