Tata Consultancy Services Wins Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie® at 2015 American Business Awards

TCS Honored for HR Executive of the Year, CSR Program of the Year and HR Department and Team of the Year

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced it won four Stevie® Awards at the 13^th Annual American Business Awards, the nation’s premier business awards program. TCS was recognized with a Gold Stevie® for HR Executive of the Year, two Silver Stevie® Awards for CSR Program and HR Department of the Year, and a Bronze Stevie® for HR Team of the Year.

The American Business Awards, nicknamed the ‘Stevies’ for the Greek word ‘crowned,’ were presented to winners during a gala banquet in late June at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel to an audience of more than 400 nominees.

More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and industries were submitted this year. More than 200 global executives participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

The key contributors to TCS’ three Stevie® Awards for human resources were its record hiring and recruitment processes specific to college and MBA graduates and experienced professionals. TCS was also recognized for its HR leadership and commitment to developing a world class organization through its workforce management practices and in depth training programs that aide employees in their development and growth at the company. Moreover, S. Narasimhan, Head of HR for North America, was recognized as HR Executive of the Year for his overall strategic approach to building a highly mobile and diverse workforce.

TCS’ North American CSR department received a Silver Stevie® Award for CSR Program of the Year, given its ongoing progress in fostering STEM education through its signature community engagement program, goIT. TCS’ program provides students with in-school technology awareness and hands-on technical workshops, along with teacher training and parent orientations aimed at increasing student interest in IT careers. TCS was also recognized for its national partnerships with STEMconnector, US2020 and Million Women Mentors, along with its vast volunteering network, which in 2015 alone, saw more than 11,100 employees participate in 417 CSR events across the U.S. and Canada.

The four Stevie® Awards come on the back of TCS’ recent ‘Employee Engagement Award’ in the Rewards and Recognition category at the North American Employee Engagement Awards Conference in New York City. TCS received the award for its commitment to improving employee engagement practices, by leveraging its GEMS rewards and recognition program, and its internal social networking platform, Knome.
