Visagar Polytex PBT for FY15 (9 months) up 99% to Rs. 2.30 Crores vis-a-vis Rs. 1.16 Crores for FY14 (12 months)

Mumbai based Visagar Polytex Limited, which is engaged in to manufacturing, retail and trading of women’s ethnic wear reported its FY15 results. The said numbers of FY15 are for nine months as the company changed its fiscal year ending period from June to March.

For quarter ended March 2015 the company’s net profit stood at Rs. 82.89 lacs compared to a loss of Rs 33.15 lacs posted in the same quarter last fiscal.

For FY15 (9months) as a whole, the net profit witnessed 69% growth at Rs.1.71 crores vis-à-vis Rs. 1.01 crores profit posted for FY14.

The EPS of the company stood at Rs. 1.02 for FY15 vis-à-vis Rs.0.60 for FY14.

The sales for the quarter ended March 2015 stood at Rs 18.11 crore, while that for FY15 stood at Rs 60.93 crore. 

The company markets its products under the brand name VIVIDHA and currently has a 2000 square feet flagship store in Kolkata.  The company also recently opened VIVIDHA showroom in Jaipur to provide a premium shopping experience. 

Mr Tilokchand Kothari MD, Visagar Polytex Ltd said, “We have chalked out a massive expansion plans by increasing our retail store footprint by another 200 stores in the next three years.”

The company has 13 stores in Rajasthan, West Bengal and Gujarat and also has wholesale presence in about 1500 stores. The company is now looking to expand further in states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
