Witness the Great Indian Classical Music Marvels at UMAK Music Festival

In the passionate stream of a modern piece of music, no one can ever deny the ecstasy of Classical Music. This form of music actually stirs the imagination, creativity, emotions, and sensations. If you want to enjoy that immense state of ecstasy, visit UMAK Music Festival on 30^th and 31^st May organized in the aid of All India Prakash Society (AIPS).

UMAK Centre for Culture was registered in the year 1993 with the prime motive to promote traditional Indian Classical Music. The aim was to propagate the ideals and music of Khan Sahab ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan among the future generation falling for modern music. The credit goes to the great Sitar Marvel Pandit Debu Chaudhary.

Get a chance to enjoy their marvel music during the UMAK Music Festival of Music and Dance from 30 to 31^st May 2016. UMAK is one of the supportive NPOs holding charitable functions for a cause and providing economic assistance to the trusts too.

The Grand Event is organized in the honor of the 81^st birthday celebration of The Legendary Maestro, Pandit Debu Chaudhari. He is one of the leading sitarists, leading proponents of Gharana, creator of eight new ragas, writer of six books and the Winner of Padmabhushan and Padmashree Awards.

On 30^th May, Monday, there is an orchestral presentation by Umak Centre for Culture. The evening will start with Sitar Recital by the Marvel Pandit Debu Chaudhary and Ustaad Akram Khan will be accompanying him on Tabla. Don’t forget to visit at 7 PM.

On 31^st May, Tuesday at 6:30 PM, the Vocal Recital is by Pandit Ritesh & Rajnish Mishra. They are some of the eminent artists and also sons of Pandit Ranjan Mishra Ji. They will be accompanied by Shri Durjay Bhaumik on tabla and Shri Zakir Dhaulpuri on harmonium. 

There is much more than expected on this happening Day of music Fest.

Sitar Recital is by Pandit Prateek Chaudhary, an eminent artist, and son of Pandit Debu Chaudhary Ji, accompanying by Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri.

There is also a treat for the people fanatical for dance. They will get a chance to watch the incredible Kathak performance by none other than Pandit Deepak Maharaj (son of Birju Maharaj Ji). To accompany him, tremendous talents will be there : Ustaad Akram Khan on Tabla, Ragini Maharaj for Bol Padhant, Sri Santosh Sinha on Vocal, Janab Ghulam Varis- Sarangi along with Janab Saleem on Sitar.
