Yamaha Partners with Loyola Industrial Training Institute, Bangalore, for Skills Training and Placement of Relatively Indigent Youngsters

4th Institute in Karnataka, 13th in South India and 30th YTS in India; As part of a CSR initiative, Yamaha will impart technical training and will assist in job placement

India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd, today, signed an MoU with Loyola Industrial Training Institute, one of the prestigious institutes situated at Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore in Karnataka, to inaugurate Yamaha Training School (YTS) in the premises of the college. This initiative is to promote and encourage relatively indigent youngsters (male and female) to acquire technical knowledge and expertise, thereby supporting them to secure employment at Yamaha dealerships. As a socially responsible company, this initiative is in line with Yamaha’s continued CSR program.Technical experts from Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) - the company’s training division will provide support in conducting the YTS program by continuously training the trainers as well as the students.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravinder Singh, Vice President, Strategy and Planning, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd said: “At present, there is a huge skills gap in the industry and a large number of youngsters are pressed towards unemployment due to lack of technical skills. With this MoU, Yamaha will develop a synergetic partnership with Loyola Industrial Training Institute, thereby helping deserving students find employment in the automobile sector via impartment of technical training and education. This partnership will provide a platform to relatively indigent youngsters to obtain a job oriented technical training in two wheeler repair and servicing that meets industry standards. Upon successful completion of this YTS course, students will receive a Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) certificate and a certificate issued by the Institute that will help them gain suitable employment within the industry. Yamaha has also signed an MoU with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India last year, under which certification will be provided by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) - which is a national recognition for our endeavors and are in sync with the national agendas like ‘Skill India’ and ‘Make in India.Yamaha is the first and only two-wheeler manufacturer to offer this unique course certified by the Government of India.

 

As a part of its continued CSR initiative, Yamaha is poised to adopt Government / Private Technical Institutes and will continue to partner with reputed NGOs across India to launch Yamaha Training Schools with Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) certification.

 

With 30 MoUs signed so far across India with 1 institute in each of the states of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, 2 institutes in each of the states of Delhi and West Bengal, 4 institutes in each of the states of Karnataka and Kerala and 5 institutes in each of the states of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Prestigious institutes like Dayalbagh Engineering Institute and Don Bosco Technical Institute have collaborated with Yamaha to run this course at various locations.
